Klein Tools is recalling non-contact voltage testers with model number NCVT-5 with Laser Pointer with the following date codes 0518U-A1, 0618U-A1, 0718U-A1 and 0818U-A1. The product is being recalled due to a potential safety hazard where the NCVT-5 may not detect AC voltage in certain duplex outlets when used in the higher voltage setting, resulting in the operator falsely believing the electrical power is off, posing shock hazards. Please stop using your NCVT5 even if you have not experienced any issues. Please follow the customer instructions via the website below.
