Montreal — A new website from Canadian research organization IRSST highlights the strategies and tools needed to promote and support work disability prevention and return to work.
“Prepared by a team of scientists and representatives of various actors involved in managing RTW (workplaces, rehabilitation professionals and insurers), it offers a source of reliable and organized information, practical resources, and guidelines for supporting a healthy and sustainable RTW,” IRSST says.
The website outlines common workplace health problems, such as musculoskeletal disorders and mental health issues.
It also includes sets of FAQs, such as “What are the essential steps to take to establish a policy and procedures aimed at ensuring a sustainable return to and retention at work?” and “Who can plan and coordinate the return to work?”
