Federal Gov’t Announces 2019 UCR Fee Adjustment

The federal government has announced reduced annual fees for commercial carriers and other entities required by law to participate in the Unified Carrier Registration Plan (UCR).

The new fees go into effect as of December 27, 2018.

For the second consecutive year, those businesses subject to UCR will see a reduction in fees, which are down about 5% from last year.  In 2018, fees dropped by 9%.  The fee reductions for 2018 and 2019 are based on recommendations from the UCR Board of Directors following several years of higher than expected collections.
