The free resource also prompts carriers to determine whether a contractor:
- Has the necessary experience, references and capability to properly perform the job at hand.
- Can provide on request a site-specific safety construction plan for the job based on industry standards.
- Will maintain written records of all safety audits.
NATE reminds industry stakeholders that the checklist is “not a legally binding document, but rather one additional method of helping improve safety on the jobsite by demonstrating qualities to which reputable contractors will adhere.”
